Marie Jacotey film

Marie speaks about her paintings from her studio in Bow. She has started a new series painting direct on paster with her oil colours. The plaster is so absorbent that every stroke has to be correct and she can't re-work it.

Marie goes back over her many drawings before starting a painting and often re-uses characters and ideas from previous series. The new work shows erotic intimacy and dark sexual encounters between couples, often featuring the type her work is known for. She likes to use the writing and secondary images within the images to build layers and meaning.

I have just edited this film we made alongside an editorial for Soma magazine. Long days at the height of summer in a house that looked like it should have belonged to the Bloomsbury set. Beautiful faded fabrics and furniture carefully chosen by two artists. Camerawork by Henrik Knudsen, styling by Georgina Hodson, hair by Amiee Hershan and makeup by Kristina Vidic.

Seasonal Debate film

We made this film during our shoot for Soma magazine Spring issue. We shot around fashion week so that we could edit in footage from the shows with our fictional images. Styling by Georgina Hodson, cinematography by Henrik Knudsen, hair by Elvire Roux and makeup by Kristina Vidic.

Models - Silke at the Hive, Robertas at Select and David Yang at Models 1.
